Poetry and Reflection is a volume of poems written by Roger Neumaier in the years following his retirement. The poetry journal, one hand-written poem a month for seven years, was intended to reflect changes in the world around him and to explore the meaning of life from his new vantage point. However, the progression of those poems, ended up also reflecting the changes that occurred in Neumaier’s life during a period in when he experienced personal, loss, change and growth. The arc in this book rather than being a plot-line is Neumaier’s growth in understanding of the world around him.
